Well, with all the excitement of my son's birthday and my spinning classes, I missed my co-workers birthdays. Shame on me. So, I buckled down this weekend and made their birthday cards. It also didn't hurt that it is a three day weekend. More time to play. I believe that the work week should be changed to 4 days on 3 days off. I need more time to play. hehe

Indiana Jones Birthday Invitations

Well, my son's 6th birthday is fast approaching. He wants an Indiana Jones birthday party. I finally completed the birthday invitations. He was so excited when he saw them. As I was finishing up the last of them, he came into the room and excited asked if they were is. When I said yes, he started singing the Indiana Jones theme song.

Now I just have to create the image for his birthday cake. It is tradition, every year I bake the kid's birthday cakes. I bake a 1/2 sheet cake and decorate it. I typically use an edible frosting sheets to have the image that I design printed on it using edible printer ink.

Almost done with my swap cards... :)

There has been so much going on I haven't been able to get on the computer. I am in a swap for Cuttlebug cards and I am getting down to the wire for when they are due. I have two more cards to make.

Finally Friday!!!!!

Wow it is finally friday and the weekend is here. Can you tell... it has been a long week. This Saturday is going to be fun. I am spending the day with my parents hopping from one craft or art store to another. It is called Destination Art. Several craft and art business get together and have something like a themed party. Each location has drawing, snacks, demonstrations and specials. Woo hoo!!! Then once we are traveled out... we are going to head back to my parents' house and hang out in my mom's craft cottage. It is the cutest little craft place you will ever see. A separate little building just for my mom to use for crafting.
Well, being that it was such a busy week, I only completed two cards. :(

I have been saving the best for last. This is a card that my 5 year old son made for a classmate at school.

My son did the inking, stamping and coloring of the image.

But here they are...

Rainy days mean craft days...

I just love rainy days. It gives me an excuse for not having to do yard work or cleaning. So what do I do when I don't have to clean... Craft of course! and play with the kids.

We purchased these toys at Taco Bell of all places that are actually educational. It is a game where each person creates a cube. On the cube there are numbers. Who ever rolls the highest number wins, the loser turns that side of the cube around (the backside of the piece has a band aid on it). It is great for teaching him number recognition and number order. The biggest bonus is that it is actually a pretty fun game.

Found out today that we are going to celebrate my nephews birthday next weekend, so I decided that would be my card project for today. Well I had a great day and actually completed two cards. So here they are:

Finally starting to feel better after a week long illness. Still can't hear well, but I don't need to hear to craft.

With the weather outside windy and rainy, it is a great excuse to spend my time playing with my crafts.
